It’s the Season to be jolly
Parents; please make every effort to avoid extending the Winter
Break vacation as these additional school days off before or after
school holidays for out-of-town trips will be considered
unexcused absences and will most likely put your student at risk
of not maintaining proficient attendance. Research has shown
that it takes an average of three days to catch up for every day a
student is absent. For many children, this often results in feeling
frustrated and overwhelmed, which over time can result in some
students developing a negative attitude about school. For these
important reasons, we ask that parents do their part to make
sure students return to school on time.
